Stork Craft for Immediate Recall of Stork Craft Baby Cribs
BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada – Stork Craft Manufacturing for immediate recall of all Stork Craft Baby Cribs and Stork Craft Cribs with the Fisher-Price logo sold between the dates of May 2000 and January 2009 from both in-store and online retailers.
This recall is from a recognized manufacturing flaw, in which the metal support brackets used to support the crib mattress and mattress board can crack and break, causing serious potential danger for the child.
CEO Sheryl T. Broun assures consumers that Stork Craft is taking this recall very seriously as the company looks into how the design flaw was incorporated and necessary procedures to ensure it does not happen again.
Currently only ten incidents exist from the 535000 units sold in the U.S. A remedy for the brackets has been created and consumers are recommended to contact Stork Craft to receive a free replacement kit, with new mattress support brackets.
“We regret any inconvenience to our customers. We are working around the clock to ship replacement kits to all our consumers. We urge them to contact us immediately for a replacement kit,” says Adam Segal, Director of Marketing.
